My name is Cecilia Trotter, and for nearly 2 decades I’ve proudly served Florida’s public school
classrooms. I believe in public education because I’ve seen the success stories
firsthand—children growing into curious learners, problem-solvers, and the young adults who
now strengthen our universities and our economy.

Today, our public schools are under attack. Billions of taxpayer dollars are being siphoned
away from Brevard public schools into charter businesses that put profit before children.
Brevard County families deserve better. They deserve leaders who will fight for equitable
education, protect the funds dedicated to our public schools, and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive in their community.
